Taking the fear out of job interviews
Job interviews will not be so daunting for pupils who take heed of advice given at the ‘Interview Skills’ event, taking place all this week at Bedworth’s Nicholas Chamberlaine Technology College.
Year 11 students will be having the luxury of a ‘Practice Interview’ with local business representatives throughout this week.
They will previously have received a Student Guidance Pack, explaining the purpose of the interview and gives the students tips on preparing for future interviews and completing application forms.
The experience is to give students a taste of a ‘real life’ interview before undertaking job or college interviews on leaving school.
The event has been co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, working as part of Warwickshire County Council with businesses and schools to help address the constant demand from employers for school leavers to be ‘work ready’.
Local businesses attending to interview the students include: Coventry Building Society, Stagecoach, Mira, Warwickshire Police, The Hub & The Armed Forces.
