Business Helps Students Look To The Future

Year 10 pupils at Avon Valley School will be finding out about their future professions in a Careers Event on Thursday December 6 organised in conjunction with the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership.

Careers 4 U is a chance for students to attend interesting and informative workshops given by staff working in the very professions the students are considering going into.
Rolls Royce-Aerospace will be discussing engineering apprenticeships, other employment sectors represented include childcare, digital graphic design, finance and banking, the police, civil engineering and careers in the health service. Students will attend 4 different workshops and get a deeper understanding of the qualifications, skills and qualities needed to enter and succeed within their chosen professions.

Warwickshire Education Business Partnership works as part of Warwickshire County Council with businesses and schools to help address the constant demand from employers for school leavers to be ‘work ready’
