Atherstone pupils have an enterprising time
Year 10 students from Queen Elizabeth School (A Specialist Sports College) will take part in an Enterprise Challenge Event co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership this Thursday.
The event will involve students working in teams with local business people to guide them through a series of challenges, which will enhance their enterprise skills and also work on effective communication, teamwork, time management and problem solving.
The main challenge of the day will involve students coming up with an innovative business idea which they have to market and produce cash flow forecasts for as well as a business plan which they have to use to present their ideas which will be judged by the business facilitators attending.
The pupils will receive business advice and guidance from representatives of local businesses such as Warwickshire County Council, Dairy Crest, TNT, Warwickshire Police, Connexions and The Army.
The event has been co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership who organise various initiatives to help prepare young people for the world of work.
