‘One Hour Four Lives’ – campaign launch
In support of the Warwickshire Firefighters Families Fund, William Brown, Chief Fire Officer, will officially launch the ‘One Hour Four Lives’ campaign on Monday 17 December 2007 at Warwickshire Fire Service Headquarters in Leamington Spa, commencing at 1100 hours.
The Warwickshire Firefighters Families Fund was established to support the families of the Warwickshire firefighters who lost their lives at the Atherstone-on-Stour incident. The fund will provide support directly to the families of the firefighters involved and will help to provide a fitting memorial at a later date.
‘One Hour Four Lives’ will use Campaign Ambassadors to encourage people to donate one hour of their wage in memory of the four firefighters and is a one-off donation.
Campaign Ambassadors will promote the Warwickshire Firefighters Families Fund, raise the profile of the fund and the ‘One Hour Four Lives’ campaign and support activity that generates income for the fund through the ‘One Hour Four Lives’ campaign, for example attending events such as the ‘One Hour Four Lives’ concert to be held at the Spa Centre, Leamington Spa, in January.
The campaign will help to further mark the lives of Ian Reid, Ashley Stephens, Darren Yates-Badly and John Averis and to provide long term support to their families.
