Companies who wish to recycle their waste cardboard and paper can do so at a reduced price of £10 per load at Princes Drive Recycling Centre, Leamington Spa and Hunters Lane Recycling Centre, Rugby when the site reopens after refurbishment in the spring.

Previously there would have been a minimum charge of £25 at Princes Drive Recycling Centre.

Cllr Martin Heatley, Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio Holder for the Environment, said: “The scheme has been introduced to help and encourage businesses to recycle as much of their waste as possible. Companies depositing cardboard and paper at Princes Drive and Hunters Lane Recycling Centres will not be charged landfill rates, but reduced rates to reflect the value of the material.

“To help us reduce waiting times on site we ask traders to separate their waste and recyclables at source and report to the weighbridge on arrival to the recycling centre. A recycling attendant will advise you where to deposit your waste.”
