Pupils have designs on Easter lunch
Pupils at Newbold Riverside Primary in Rugby will be tucking into an egg-stra special school lunch on Wednesday 19 March.
Warwickshire’s County Caterers have created a healthy Easter menu for the young gourmets’ last day of term and pupils have also been encouraged to enter a ‘design your own Easter egg’ colouring competition.
Pupils will be tucking into turkey in gravy with sausage and stuffing, a selection of vegetables including roast and creamed potatoes, followed by chocolate cracknel with peppermint sauce.
Lindsay Higgins, Development Manager for Warwickshire County Caterers, said: “We mark many religious and cultural events throughout the year and we were delighted to create the Easter lunch for Newbold Riverside School, which promises to be delicious as well as nutritionally balanced. Food is a wonderful way of capturing children’s imagination and the kitchen has been delighted with the response to the colouring competition.”
