Celebration for Aim 4

The Mayor and Mayoress of Nuneaton will be joined by other local councillors at an open day for Aim 4 employment service in Nuneaton today. Aim 4 is part of Warwickshire County Council’s provision for adults with learning disabilities and covers Nuneaton and Bedworth areas.

Twenty-three students who completed Skills for Working Life modules at Aim 4 in Nuneaton will be awarded certificates of attainment at the open day. The modules are delivered through a partnership with Hereward College in Coventry.

The service also hosts the only credit union in the country to be entirely managed and run by people with learning disabilities.

The team at Aim 4 provides a specialist recruitment and professional advice service to offer employment or work experience to adults with learning disabilities.

Annette Skermer, manager of Aim 4 said,
“Aim 4’s specialist employment team provides a professional service to employers to make it easy and rewarding to employ an adult with a learning disability.  We work hard to create intensive induction packages and provide continued support to the client throughout their placement.”
