Former Mayor is on the move
Former Mayor of North Warwickshire, Adrian Edgington, is departing his job at Aim 4 in Nuneaton after 14 years.
Aim 4 Employment Service, is part of Warwickshire County Council’s service provision for adults with learning disabilities.
Adrian joined Aim 4 in 1994 and worked part time as an Employment Officer, while also working part time as a Careers Development Officer at Manor Park School.
During his time at Aim 4, Adrian supported people who use the service to access training courses, develop work related skills, find and maintain employment, and develop travel skills.
Adrian said:
‘I especially enjoyed doing mobility training and seeing the impact it had on people’s lives when they learned to travel to places independently.’
The former Mayor of North Warwickshire said that Aim 4 had provided invaluable help in raising money for his chosen charities including Young Carers of North Warwickshire and Child-Line. He added:
“I’m very sad to be leaving the service. I was Mayor of North Warwickshire from May 2006 to April 2007 and the help I received from Aim 4 was amazing. They helped raise hundreds of pounds for my chosen charities at the time.”
Annette Skermer Manager of Aim 4 said:
“We have enjoyed working with Adrian over the years, he has contributed a lot in supporting people to become more independent particularly in helping people with travel. Adrian was a great team worker and whilst we will miss him we all wish him well.”
Adrian has joined the Adult and Community Learning Services in North Warwickshire as a Development Officer.
