Nuneaton pupils head to the NEC to represent county
Pupils from George Eliot and Higham Lane schools in Nuneaton are joining forces to represent Warwickshire at a regional event at the NEC this week.
The Year 10 students will be hoping for ‘medal’ glory as they take on schools from around the region at the West Midlands Regional Enterprise Challenge.
Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, a part of Warwickshire County Council, works to prepare youngsters for the world of work, and is hopeful of great results from the event taking place on Wednesday at Birmingham’s NEC.
Four students from each of the Nuneaton Business and Enterprise Colleges will be joining together to undertake a regeneration challenge with an Olympic twist.
The event, which will see students competing against teams from across the West Midlands, is being supported by CPP, the Card Protection People, based in Tamworth.
Gail Wright from Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, which has helped to organise the event, said: ”This is an excellent opportunity for the students from the schools to work collaboratively on what will be a very exciting enterprise project.”
