Prams in the Park to include Sunday strolls

The popular Prams in the Park scheme run by Warwickshire County Council to get new parents out and about enjoying exercise and great scenery is this summer to include some Sunday strolls.

The scheme is based at Ryton Pools Country Park and following popular demand will this summer extend from weekdays only to include some Sunday walks.

Prams in the Park is a walking group for new parents. Walks last approx 45mins – 1 hour and offer new parents the opportunity to get out and about, meet other new parents and take some regular exercise. Babies in prams, slings or baby backpacks welcome.

Walks will take place on Sundays at 10.30am from 8th June to 13th July inclusive. Meet at the visitor centre entrance at Ryton Pools Country Park. Mums, dads, grandparents and carers are all welcome. The cost is £1 per family per walk.

Meanwhile the regular walks at Ryton got underway this week at Ryton and will continue each Tuesday at 10.30am, running each week until July 15th. Walks cost £1 per family each week.

Ryton Pools Country Park is on the A445 approx 15mins drive from Leamington Spa and 20 minutes from Rugby. The park has a café and shop as well as baby change facilities. There is a £1.50 parking charge, but season tickets are available.
