Pupils lay their cards on the table
Pupils at Nuneaton’s George Eliot Community School (a Business and Enterprise College) will be dealing with teamwork issues at an event next week.
On Tuesday the Year 8 students will take part in a Teamwork Challenge Event co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership.
The event will involve students working in teams with local business people to guide them through a series of activities, which will highlight the importance of teamwork.
The main exercise of the day will involve students designing and creating an innovative new card game to help analyse their teamwork methods and skills.
The students will receive advice and guidance from representatives of local businesses such as Land Rover and the Ambulance Service. A representative from the ambulance service will also be speaking to the year group about the relevance and importance of teamwork within his line of work.
The event has been co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, a part of Warwickshire County Council, which organises various initiatives to help prepare young people for the world of work.
