Nuneaton ring-road works
Motorists are being warned that for two evenings the Roanne Ringway in Nuneaton will be closed over part of its route to allow for essential surfacing.
Warwickshire County Council has recognised that the road is extremely busy, and rather than create long term traffic congestion, and potentially put workers and motorists at risk, the road is being completely closed for two evenings.
The work will be between Queens Road to Corporation Street.
To minimise disruption to traffic the work will be done at night (8.30pm to 6am). To limit the disruption to the local residents, the noisiest operations will be done before 11pm.
The works are programmed for the night of Saturday, 31st May when two lanes anticlockwise from Corporation St to Queens Rd will be surfaced. Then on Sunday 1st June a single lane, clockwise for Queens Rd to Corporation St (these works are weather dependent).
Signs will be erected showing the diversion, which will be around the ring-road.
A letter is being sent to resident living near the works in the next week.
