Group Receives Set Up Funding

Wembrook Community Club has received £500 from Warwickshire County Council’s Nuneaton and Bedworth Area Committee to help establish their new group.

Wembrook Division County Councillor June Tandy who presented the cheque said “ It makes me really pleased that the Area Committee are able to support new community and voluntary groups in such an important way and I am sure the Wembrook group go from strength to strength”

This is the 26th new group that have received a set up grant, Andrea Buckley who manages the fund says “ it is so important that new groups can access small amounts of funding quickly to cover initial set up expenses such leaflet printing or training for groups membership so I am delighted we have this fund available”.

The Wembrook Community Club will encourage all people from across the Wembrook (and wider area including Attleborough, Hill Top and in fact all of Nuneaton) to meet every Tuesday at the George Elliot Community Centre.  The group play board games and organise activities and most importantly give people a chance to make new friends.
