Preparing perfect prefects
Students who have been chosen as Prefect Team Leaders and Head Boys and Girls from Manor Park School, Nuneaton, have been undertaking management training.
The aim of the two days was to ensure the prefects were fully prepared to carry out their roles within the school.
They underwent specialist training to help them deal with decision-making, leadership, delegation and handling difficult situations.
The event was organised by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, a part of Warwickshire County Council, as part of their commitment to preparing young people for their adult working life.
Cllr Chris Saint: Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, said: “This is an intriguing way of bringing work world experience into Manor Park for the new pupils holding these positions of responsibility.”
