Following the success of an open day at the end of April, Warwickshire County Council’s Adult Health and Social Care Team is inviting people to come and visit their Kenilworth office again on Thursday 26 June.

The office, at 39-41 Warwick Road, will be open between 10.00am and 4.00pm enabling people to come in and meet the team as well as providing the opportunity to find out more information about the range of services that can be provided for customers and or their carers. This will be a regular event happening on the last Thursday of the month.

In April the weather was so poor and Warwick Road was closed to traffic. Over a hundred people came through the office doors and lots of people were seen by team members around the market at Abbey End in Kenilworth. Information was given out on a range of services. People talked to staff about various issues ranging from having assessments, benefits, carers’ support, direct payments, Telecare, occupational therapy equipment, home care services etc.

One of the frequent comments made was; “We did not know that the Team existed in Kenilworth”. The majority of the people felt that it was very good idea to open the doors to the public.

Liz Bruce, Head of Local Commissioning for Warwickshire County Council said
“The Adult Health and Social Care Team would like to thank everyone in the community for their support for making this event successful. Due to popular demand this event will take place on a regular monthly basis to give even more people in Kenilworth the opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes.”
