Improvements on Queens Road
Work on the final phase of the regeneration programme on Queens Road in Nuneaton is due to start on Monday, 7th July.
The environmental improvements around the area known as ‘The Green’ and on the opposite side of the road will primarily consist of resurfacing the footways using high quality paving together with additional benches and trees on The Green.
The £95,000 scheme is being funded by Advantage West Midlands and forms part of a number of projects being carried out in and around the town centre in partnership with both Warwickshire County Council and Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council. The scheme is expected to take 10 weeks to be completed.
Cllr Chris Saint, Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, said: “I am pleased that this final phase of works on Queens Road is now ready to be completed. The environmental improvements will enhance the area and give the community a valuable open space that they can enjoy.”
