Kenilworth Treasure Trail winners
A digital camera, £200 in shopping vouchers and a food gift hamper were the prizes for the lucky young winners of a recent town centre treasure trail in Kenilworth.
Almost a hundred people entered the competition, which got them wandering the town centre’s many independent shops and stores to find various answers.
But there could only be three lucky winners and this week Kenilworth’s Mayor, Cllr Spencer Harrison, handed over the prizes to three children from Kenilworth. William West, aged 5, Melissa Walker, aged 9, and Abbie McDougall, aged 6.
Between them they won £200 of shopping vouchers, a digital camera from Camerama and a food gift hamper from Emerys.
The competition was part of an initiative by the Town Centre Partnership, supported by Warwickshire County Council and Warwick District Council, and the Count On Kenilworth Campaign to encourage local people to support Kenilworth’s shops during the current period of disruption caused by the ongoing Severn Trent works.
Cllr Andrew Mobbs, Chair of the Count On Kenilworth Campaign, said: “This was a great opportunity to get the message across that the town centre is open for business. We are really pleased by the number of entries we had for this competition and the enthusiasm shown by local people.”
