Vote ‘no’ to junk mail

Junk mail could become a thing of the past if people opt to not have their name on the electoral roll.

Voter Registration forms have been sent out to many Warwickshire households over the last few weeks and Warwickshire County Council is urging residents to opt out of appearing on the edited copy of the register.

Although not commonly known, the edited register is available for general sale to any person, company or organisation. It can be used for any purpose, but is more commonly used for marketing.

To further reduce the amount of junk mail received, please visit http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/junkmail alternatively telephone Warwickshire County Council’s Waste Minimisation Team on 01926 412458.
