Fiona is top of the class
A woman who uses Bedworth Community Support Services, part of Warwickshire County Council’s Day Service provision for adults with learning disabilities, has been given a Student of the Year Award by Bedworth College.
Fiona Hamilton, 38, from Nuneaton, has received the award after enrolling on an outreach project through Bedworth College.
Fiona joined the project 2 years ago. During that time she has received certificates for her ongoing development and achievements. Bedworth Community Support Services have also supported Fiona to secure a work placement at Exhall Community Cafe.
Claire Batsford Bedworth Community Support Services Manager said:
“Fiona is a highly motivated and capable person, she has been part of numerous projects and she should be very proud of her achievements.”
Linda Folan Day Centre Officer at Bedworth Community Support Services said:
“I have been supporting Fiona at College and it has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with her, she has achieved so much and she thoroughly deserves her award.”
Fiona has enrolled for another year at college and is hoping to further develop her skills and build on her success.
