Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour in Warwickshire

A countywide Anti-Social Behaviour Strategy has been approved by Warwickshire County Council’s Cabinet.

It aims to address residents’ concerns about anti-social behaviour and to reduce the number of incidents across the county by working on a number of priority areas.

These include parenting, education / schools, community factors and environmental improvements, alcohol and drugs, preventative / diversionary interventions and enforcement activity.

The Warwickshire Anti-Social Behaviour Strategy is underpinned by an annual action plan, supported by a number of partner agencies including Warwickshire County Council, Warwickshire Police, the Probation Service, District and Borough Councils, and the Voluntary and Community Sector.

Cllr Richard Hobbs, Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio Holder for Community Protection, said: “The aim of the strategy is to address the concerns of residents and work with the local community providing positive intervention with schemes such as Positive about Young People, Young Firefighters and Firebreak.”
