Indestructible is a new youth music venture set up in partnership between Warwickshire County Council’s Youth and Community Service and Hybrid:arts enabled with funding from an Arts Council England grant.

The club, the first of its kind in the county, will be open from September 17 every Wednesday 4pm – 6pm and Friday 5pm – 8pm during term time.  The club will also be open during school holiday but these times are to be announced.

The emphasis of the club is to provide young people aged 12 to 18 with facilities to practice music, join a band, record MC’s, learn about music technology and perform at regular concerts.

Sessions will be facilitated by a regular team consisting of a Hybrid:arts peer mentor, a music producer and a qualified youth worker. Special sessions will include visiting artists specialising in either performance or production.

Warwickshire County Councillor Izzi Seccombe, Portfolio Holder for Children Young People and Families said: “This new youth club will be a great opportunity for young people in Leamington to try something new.  The Youth and Community Service makes a tremendous contribution to supporting young people and promoting positive activities, this partnership with Hybrid:arts offers an avenue for creative exploration which will both stimulate young peoples imaginations and equip them with new skills.”
