Hartshill Hayes Woodland Festival
A packed weekend of activites are lined up for this weekend at Hartshill Hayes Country Park for its Woodland Festival.
From 10am until 3pm on Friday, October 3, Saturday, October 4, and Sunday, October 5, the country park is playing host to an array of attractions.
These include:
* Heavy horses in action extracting wood.
* A chance to meet the Wildman of the Woods.
* Learning all about den building and woodland crafts.
* Discovering vintage forestry machinery and how it compares to the modern day.
* Viewing owls up close.
* Learning how to compost.
* Visiting the ‘museum on the move’.
* Watching foresters in action with their chainsaw sculpting and tree surgery.
* Plus a hog roast on the Saturday.
The country park and event are free to enter but there is a £1.50 car parking charge per day.
