Kingsbury pupils get a career taster

Year 11 students from Kingsbury School are tomorrow taking part in a ‘Careers 4 U’ event organised by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership.

The event is aimed at providing students with an insight into different careers, which may help them to make more informed decisions about their immediate futures.

The students will have the benefit of hearing from business representatives from companies such as: the Ambulance Service, Planters Garden Centre, Jaguar Land Rover, Twycross Zoo, Army, Warwickshire Police, Sainsburys, Hams Hall and Connexions.

The visitors will talk to small groups of students about their job roles, qualifications required, entry routes, and career progression opportunities.

The students will have the opportunity to ask questions and to gain as much information as possible as well as taking part in various activities based around widening their knowledge of different career choices and labour market information.

Warwickshire Education Business Partnership works as a part of Warwickshire County Council to help ensure that young people are prepared for world of work.
