Careers taster for Manor Park pupils
Year 11 students from Manor Park Community School and Specialist Arts College will tomorrow be taking part in a ‘Careers 4 U’ event organised by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership.
The event is aimed at providing students with an insight into different careers, which may help them to make more informed decisions about their immediate futures.
The students will have the benefit of hearing from business representatives from companies such as: Merlin Electrical, Twycross Zoo, Coventry Evening Telegraph, Connexions, Nuneaton and Bedworth Leisure Trust, Warwickshire Police and the Armed Forces.
The visitors will talk to small groups of students about their job roles, qualifications required, entry routes, career progression opportunities etc. The students will have the opportunity to ask questions and to gain as much information as possible as well as taking part in various activities based around widening their knowledge of different career choices and labour market information.
The event has been co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, a part of Warwickshire County Council, and aims to help the youngsters be more prepared for the world of work
