PHILLIS puts the fun back into being 50!
Basic first aid, eating well and learning how to use a Nintendo Wii are just some of the exciting activities being run by PHILLIS in south Warwickshire over the next six months.
The aim of the events are to encourage people in their early 50’s to think about their future health and learn more about what they can do to reduce the chances of them losing their independence later in life.
The activities are part of a pilot scheme being run by PHILLIS, a service provided by Warwickshire County Council, which helps people over 50 to live independently.

“We want to make sure that everyone is reminded that PHILLIS is a service for anyone who is 50 plus and offer them the chance to take part in some true prevention activities, like Basic First Aid.
"So by running these events we are hoping to reach more people in their 50’s and enable them to get information on how to look after their health now, giving them a better chance of being healthy and independent in the future”
