Boosting interview confidence at Manor Park
Job interviews will not be so daunting for pupils who take heed of advice given at a forthcoming ‘Interview Skills’ event.
Year 11 students from Manor Park Community School in Nuneaton will be having the luxury of a ‘Practice Interview’ with local business representatives over two days of the 21 and 22 October.
They will previously have received a Student Guidance Pack explaining the purpose of the interview and gives the students tips on preparing for future interviews and completing application forms.
The experience is to give students a taste of a ‘real life’ interview before undertaking job or college interviews on leaving school.
The event has been co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership who organise various initiatives to help prepare young people for the world of work.
Local businesses attending to interview the students include: Warwickshire Police, Nuneaton Training Centre, Land Rover, Marriott Hotels, The Armed Forces and Coventry Building Society,
The event has been co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, a part of Warwickshire County Council, and aims to help the youngsters be more prepared for the world of work
