Have your say on Bidford Youth Centre
Young people between 9 and 19-years-old can have their say on services they’d like to see in a planned refurbishment of a youth club in Bidford-on-Avon.
The Bidford Youth Action group, made up of young people and adults, have setup an online survey at http://www.wpthezone.co.uk – a website with information, advice and activities for young people across the county, run by Warwickshire County Council and partners.
The aim of the survey is to help them understand the needs of young people in the community, and provides a chance to select three items they would most like to see in the club if it is redeveloped.
A new dance studio, Nintendo Wii, Trampoline, outdoor football court/goals and LCD TV are just some of the items on the wish list – with the top three considered by the Bidford Youth Action group.
Cllr Izzi Seccombe, Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio Holder for Children, Young People and Families, said: “This survey allows young people in Bidford-on-Avon to have their say in shaping future services at their youth centre and to do something positive for the community.“
The survey is available at http://www.wpthezone.co.uk/bidford and will close on 28 November 2008.
