‘Time to Shine’ in theatre production

Suzi Miller, an administrative assistant for Warwickshire County Council’s Learning Disability Partnership Board, will be starring in a production by a Warwick-based theatre company.

Suzi works at the Newbold Centre in Leamington Spa and will take part in the performance to celebrate twenty years of the Side by Side theatre company, which enables adults with and without learning difficulties to perform alongside each other in an annual show at Leamington’s Royal Spa Centre.

This year’s performance is called ‘Time to Shine’ and takes place on 25 and 26 November.

Suzi has been a member of the theatre company for five years and is an accomplished dancer and actor. She has appeared in Kenilworth’s Talisman Theatre’s Production of the stage adaptation of Catherine Cookson’s Tyneside drama The Fifteen Streets in 2006.

She has been with the Partnership Board for five years and continues to be an asset to the County’s services for people with learning disabilities.

Suzi said: “Side by Side has become like a family to me and I have made lots of friends there. I have danced and played the keyboard since I was very young but Side by Side has given me the opportunity to further my theatre experience in acting, comedy and mime. “

She is currently involved in a heavy schedule of rehearsals for this year’s Side by Side show and is also taking part in County Arts Services Project Dance4Health at Stratford on Avon.
