PHILLIS comes to Bidford!

People from Bidford are being invited to come along and find out more about how to deal with accidents in the home with a basic session in first aid.

The event is talking place on Saturday 15 November, 10.30am at Bidford Parish Room, Bidford-on-Avon. The aim of the event is to encourage people in their early 50’s to think about their future health and learn more about what they can do to reduce the chances of them losing their independence later in life. The activities are part of a pilot scheme being run by PHILLIS, a service provided by Warwickshire County Council, which helps people over 50 to live independently.

Sian Sansum, Service Broker- Stratford on Avon District
“We want to make sure that everyone is reminded that PHILLIS is a service for anyone who is 50 plus and offer them the chance to take part in some true prevention activities, running in different venues in south Warwickshire. We hope that the event in Bidford will provide people with a basic understanding of first aid, but more importantly we hope they enjoy it.”
