Ash Green gets enterprising

Year 7 students from Ash Green School in Exhall will be taking on an enterprising challenge next week.

The business event will take place on Tuesday 18 November at the School on Ash Green Lane.  It has been co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership and will involve the 11/12 year olds taking part in a business simulation whereby they set up and run a Production Company.

The exercise will involve them making finance and personnel decisions, purchasing materials and running a production line where they produce the goods, which they then have to sell in order to make a profit.

The challenge is taking place during National Enterprise Week (17-23 November). This week is a national celebration of enterprise with thousands of events and activities being run by organisations across the UK to encourage people to unlock their enterprising talent.

This year it will be part of the first ever Global Entrepreneurship Week. Warwickshire Education Business Partnership will be working with schools and colleges in the area to ensure students have an opportunity to take part in this celebration.
