PHILLIS comes to Shipston-on-Stour!

People from Shipston-on-Stour are being invited to come along and find out more about what foods will help keep you energised during the winter months.

The event is talking place on Tuesday 18 November, 2pm at Townsend Hall, Shipston-on-Stour. The aim of the event is to encourage people in their early 50’s to think about their future health and learn more about what they can do to reduce the chances of them losing their independence later in life. The activities are part of a pilot scheme being run by PHILLIS, a service provided by Warwickshire County Council, which helps people over 50 to live independently.

Sian Sansum, Service Broker- Stratford on Avon District
“We want to make sure that everyone is reminded that PHILLIS is a service for anyone who is 50 plus and offer them the chance to take part in some true prevention activities, running in different venues in south Warwickshire. We hope that the event in Shipston-on-Stour will provide people with a real insight into healthy eating, but more importantly we hope they enjoy it.”
