Fire Control Watch Manager, Rose Matthews and Stratford firefighters Mark Styzacker and Pete Stott met Patrick at the Royal Shakespeare Company where he is performing in Hamlet. 

Watch Manager, Rose Matthews said: “We are delighted that Patrick Stewart is supporting the calendar. Meeting him was a great experience, he is a really nice person who has lots of support for the work we do.

"Patrick has signed a number of calendars for us, which we will be auctioning off to raise more funds for Warwickshire Firefighters Families Fund and the Firefighters Charity. We would like to thank Patrick for giving his time so generously to help us promote the calendar and for the support he has given.”

The calendar was officially launched on the 4 November at Stratford Fire Station in memory of the four firefighters, Ashley Stephens, Darren Yates-Badley, Ian Reid and John Averis who lost their lives in a warehouse blaze in Atherstone-on-Stour on the 2 November 2007. All money raised will go towards Warwickshire Firefighters Families Fund and the Firefighters Charity (previously the Benevolent Fund).

The calendar will be available from all local fire stations and the following stores:
