6 of the Best

Last opportunity to view work from 6 outstanding artist makers. Ends 29th November 2008!

The exhibition gallery at Warwickshire Museum, Market Hall, Warwick is currently the venue for an exhibition of fantastic new work from 6 carefully selected artist-makers.

Perfectly timed for Christmas shopping, this exhibition has something for everyone, with prices starting at £2.50. Beautiful silk and velvet devore scarves and wall hangings by Barbara Fidoe add a splash of vibrant colour, and there’s delightful silver and copper jewellery by Sharon McSwiney.

Carol Wheeler’s hand made ceramic pieces and Brenda Boardman’s textile designs, including fabric covered notebooks, add individuality. Sara Huxley-Edwards’ fabulous original paintings would add a big splash of colour to any home, and Val Hunt’s recycled art jewellery and framed work (and a hat made from Guinness cans!) are totally unique.

Artists’ cards, all handmade, are also available to buy.

So why not give something completely original this Christmas? The museum is open Tuesday – Saturday, 10am – 5pm, and admission is FREE.

We are also joining in with the Warwick Victorian Christmas Evening celebrations on Thursday 27th November by welcoming all into our gallery, 5pm – 8pm, for mulled wine and a last chance to buy beautiful, unusual Christmas presents!

The rest of the museum is open too, and you can even visit Father Christmas in his "Grotto of Giving” whilst you’re there!
