Camp Hill community tree planting
A county council service is calling for green-fingered volunteers in Camp Hill to offer their support at a tree-planting event next week.
Warwickshire County Council’s Building Sustainable Neighbourhoods Team have been carrying out improvement works at the Dingle in Camp Hill over the last 12 months, including new tarmac footpaths linking different parts of the area and new fencing around Stubb’s Pool.
For the next stage of their plans the team, in partnership with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, will be hosting a tree and bulb-planting event on Saturday 29 November between 10am and 1pm and the local community are invited to come along to lend a hand.
The event, taking place during National Tree Week, offers the chance for local residents to contribute to a very worthwhile project and promises to be a great activity for all the family. All equipment will be supplied but volunteers are asked to bring their own wellies and waterproof jackets. Participants will also receive a certificate in recognition of their contribution to this valuable community project.
Funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), with support from the borough and county councils, this whole development project aims to enhance the wonderful open space in Camp Hill and make it a more usable area for the local community.
