Celebrating A World of Crime
Renowned crime author David Hewson will be at Rugby Library on Tuesday 25 November from 6.00 – 8.00pm to give a talk about his work.
David was born in Yorkshire in 1953 and now lives in Kent. He has written novels and travel books. His Rome-based ‘Nic Costa’ series has been widely praised, and his new sequel to the series ‘Dantes Numbers’ was published in October 2008.
David was also the journalist who finally broke the story of the Cottingley Fairies, the story started by two schoolgirls in Yorkshire who claimed they could photograph fairies fooling many contemporary figures - including Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, one of David’s literary influences.
Corinne Harvey, Divisional Library Manager said: "Crime is popular with many of our customers and this is a great opportunity to meet and listen to the creator of Nic Costa.”
The event is funded by the West Midlands MLA in support of the 2008 National Year of Reading. Tickets are available from Rugby Library and cost £4.00.
