Never ever a doubt over All Saints award
A prestigious award has been clinched by Warwickshire County Council and Warwick District Council for their ‘outstanding’ work at All Saints Square in Leamington.
The environmental and public space improvements in front of All Saints Church in Leamington Spa have been ‘Highly Commended’ at the annual convention of Regeneration West Midlands.
The awards took place at the International Convention Centre and Warwickshire County Council and Warwick District Council were awarded second place in the ‘Creating Outstanding Places’ category of the prize giving ceremony.
Out of 31 entries, All Saints Square was judged to be runner up only to the Fort Dunlop redevelopment in Birmingham.
Cllr Chris Saint, Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, said: “The scheme is a good example of partnership working. The improvements outside the Parish Church have provided good access to the church, made the area much safer at night, introduced public art, seating and trees giving the area new vitality. I am delighted at the recognition the scheme has received.”
