Firefighters calendar gains more support
Sainsbury’s in Leamington are lending their support to a calendar marking the one year anniversary of the four Warwickshire Firefighters who lost their lives at Atherstone-on-Stour.
The supermarket is one of a number of shops selling the ‘on reflection’ calendar, in memory of Ashley Stephens, Darren Yates-Badley, Ian Reid and John Averis. All money raised will go towards the Warwickshire Firefighters Families Fund and the Firefighters Charity (previously the Benevolent Fund).
Watch Manager Rose Matthews said: “We’re very pleased with the support we have received for the calendar from businesses and the public so far, and we hope that will continue.
“All money raised will go to charities very close to our hearts – the Warwickshire Firefighters Families Fund and the Firefighters Charity.”
Nicola Wackett, spokesperson for Sainsbury’s supermarket in Leamington, said: “The calendar is a great opportunity for colleagues and customers to show their support for the Warwickshire Firefighters and their families.”
The calendar is available at all local fire stations and the following additional locations:
Tesco’s, Birmingham Road, Stratford
Budgens, Bidford on Avon
Lee’s newsagents, Lee Road, Leamington Spa
Adrian’s Butchers, Acre Close, Whitnash, Leamington Spa
Bluebell Florists, Acre Close, Whitnash, Leamington Spa
