A decade of providing community support
Hatters Space Community Centre in Nuneaton and Bedworth is celebrating ten years of serving the local area.
Hatters Space is a Warwickshire County Council establishment, administered through its Youth and Community Service. Its purpose is to provide safe and appropriate facilities which are available for local organisations, groups and individuals to use within the objectives of the Youth and Community Service.
The centre is used as a base for over sixty regular user groups from the statutory, voluntary and community sector. Activities include keep fit, carpet bowls, dancing, knitting, woodturning, painting, craft, gardening, counselling, training, youth clubs and IT courses.
Hatters Space Community Centre was officially opened on January 22, 1999 after the centre was refurbished with funding from Warwickshire County Council, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and Europe.
To celebrate its tenth anniversary, the centre is bringing together members of its user groups, management committee and staff from the county council on the evening of January 22.
