Energy evening this week
Bright sparks will this week being attending a special evening to raise awareness of energy efficiency and environmental issues.
Local people are being invited along to Kenilworth School and Sports College in Leyes Lane, Kenilworth, where an Energy Efficiency and Environmental Evening will take place in partnership with Warwickshire County Council.
The evening is taking place this Thursday, 29th January, from 7pm to 9.30pm.
The event is open to all members of the local community and is sponsored by Waitrose. There will be presentations from Warwickshire Act on Energy, Waitrose and Kenilworth School Eco Group.
In addition there will be an Electric Car from Warwick University along with a mobile demonstration van from Bosch.
There will be a number of stands promoting a wide range of resources from Fair Trade and local food to Energy Saving measures
Complimentary refreshments and organic wine tasting will be available courtesy of Waitrose.
Cllr Martin Heatley, Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio Holder for the Environment, said: “Hopefully we’ll see lots of people along on Thursday. It’s amazing the amount of money a household or business can save simply by adopting some simple energy saving measures.”
