Crossings proposed for Hartshill

People are being asked for their views on plans to install new Puffin crossings on Coleshill Road in Hartshill.

The crossings have come about as a result of a planning condition for the Plough Hill Road development, which means funds have been made available to improve pedestrian facilities along Coleshill Road.

Warwickshire County Council is proposing to use the funds to provide a Puffin crossing on Coleshill Road near its junction with School Hill and another pedestrian Puffin crossing near its junction with Chancery Lane.

The plan is available to view on the WCC website at http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/trafficsignals

As part of the ongoing consultation for the proposal, people are invited to an ‘Open Day’ at which local County Councillor Richard Grant and county council officers will be available to answer questions related to the proposal.

The event will be held at the United Reformed Church, 73 Coleshill Road, Chapel End, on Thursday 5 February 2009, from 2pm to 7pm.
