A Chance to Shape the future of Rugby Town Centre

Rugby residents are being asked to have their say in shaping the future of Rugby town centre.

Three options for how the transport network of the town centre could be managed are being proposed and local residents and other stakeholders are being offered the chance to ensure their opinion is considered.

The Warwickshire Local Transport Plan 2006 highlighted a need to identify a preferred transport strategy for Rugby town centre, to help maximise the opportunities presented by the forthcoming opening of the Rugby Western Relief Road.

As a result a number of options for the town centre have been developed by a partnership comprising of Warwickshire County Council, Rugby First, Stagecoach in Warwickshire, Rugby Borough Council, and Arup.

The organisations who make up this partnership hope that as many people as possible will be able to spare the time to visit an exhibition, which sets out the options for the town centre. This will be on display in the Town Hall from 2nd February until 20th March 2009.

Representatives from the partnership will also be available in the Clock Towers shopping centre to answer any queries you may have on Saturday 7th February 2009 between 10am – 4pm and Wednesday 25th February between 10am - 5pm.

Additional information along with an electronic version of the questionnaire will be available on http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/rugbytowncentreoptions from 2nd February 2009, or by emailing rugbytowncentreoptions@warwickshire.gov.uk or calling 01926 735671.
