Your Libraries need you!
What sort of library services do people want nowadays? Warwickshire Library and Information Service need YOU to help them find out.
A survey launched last week asks a few straightforward questions aimed at finding out which current library services are most - and least – important and what could be done to make libraries more relevant to modern-day lifestyles.Only nine questions long, the Library Network Survey 2009 will run from Wednesday January 28 to Wednesday March 11.
Paper copies will be available in all 34 Warwickshire libraries and on the five mobiles. Local people can also complete the questionnaire online at http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/libraries.
"Twenty-first century customers deserve a twenty-first century library service," said Library Networks & Access Manager Sorrelle Clements.
"It’s really important for us to make sure we provide the services local people want nowadays, in the right place, at the right time. This survey will help us find out what they like and dislike about current services, and the sort of changes they would like to see.
"Recent years have seen rapid growth in the use of online library services and a national downturn in traditional library use. “We must continue to move forward and make sure our services are even more relevant to modern-day lives and lifestyles,” said Ayub Khan, Head of Libraries (Strategy) for Warwickshire.
