Parent Power: Shaping the services of the future
Parents and carers across Warwickshire are being urged to share their views to help shape services for children, young people and families.
Warwickshire County Council’s Parent Survey offer parents and carers in the county a chance to voice their views and share their experiences of finding the information, childcare and support they need to help them to fulfil their parenting role.
Views will be sought on a whole range of issues such as access to and the usage of different services, availability of information and support, use and provision of childcare and how they would like information to be provided in the future.
Once collated, these responses will be used to help shape the future development of services within the county.
Warwickshire County Councillor Izzi Seccombe, Portfolio Holder for Children, Young People and Families said: "Completing the survey is an excellent way for parents and carers to let us know what they think of Warwickshire services for families and we would like to encourage as many people as possible to fill it in.
“We really value comments from the families that use our services as they can help us to understand what their priorities are, where our work is making a difference, and where we need to change our approach.”
Any parent or carer with children up to the age of 18 can take part and the survey can be accessed from the Family Information Service (FIS) website, http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/fis. It will also be available in a hard copy format by calling the FIS on 0845 090 8044 or from outlets such as Children’s Centres, One-stop shops and local libraries.
The Parent Survey 2009 will run from the beginning of February until Friday 10 April and the results will be published on the FIS website, later in the year.
