Setting crime priorities for Kenilworth

People living in Kenilworth are being invited to raise any concerns about safety in the community, as part of a 30-minute ‘public surgery’.

It is being held as part of regular meetings of the Kenilworth Safer Neighbourhood’s Panel, and will take place at 6.30pm on Monday 9 February at the Kenilworth Town Council House on Southbank Road.

It gives people an opportunity to talk face-to-face with representatives typically from the Police, local authorities, Neighbourhood Watch, residents associations and the business community.

There will also be an opportunity to set the crime priorities for the town for the next twelve months. Last year, tackling anti-social behaviour, criminal damage/graffiti and speeding were the main concerns of residents adopted in to an action plan.

Pauline Edwards, Chair of the Kenilworth Safer Neighbourhoods Panel, said: “We hope residents of Kenilworth take up this valuable opportunity to raise any concerns or put forward any suggestions for dealing with them in a relaxed environment.”

Members of the public who wish to propose a community safety priority they’d like to see actioned at the meeting are asked to send details in advance to the address below.

People who are unable to attend the meeting, but would like an issue raised for discussion can also write or email their request to the panel.

Individuals who notify in advance that they want to raise an issue will take priority but, time allowing, other persons may also be able to raise a suggested priority.

People are requested to check that their priorities are in the area covered by the Kenilworth Safer Neighbourhoods Panel. This can be done by visiting http://www.safer-neighbourhoods.co.uk and inputting your postcode.
