South Leamington residents invited to air their views

The newly-formed South Leamington Community Forum is meeting next Tuesday (on 24 February) with residents urged to attend and raise issues of concern in their community.

The inaugural meeting, to be held at Shrubland Street School, will be attended by members of the county, district and town councils and officers from the Police.

The informal occasion is an opportunity to raise concerns on a one-to-one basis from 6.00pm or through the forum when it begins at 6.30pm.

The county, district and town councils are looking at following the community forum up every three months and are looking for residents to prioritise on what they see as the real issues for their communities where the Police or the local authorities can make a difference.

Warwickshire County Council member for the area committee, Cllr Tim Naylor, is urging local people to participate.  He said:  “The South Leamington Community Forum is a chance to have your say about what makes you sad, mad or glad about living in your community.

"The point of the forum is for the district, town and county councils and the Police to listen to what you have to say and, as a result, for us to do what we can to improve quality of life for the people in the area through our services.”
