Olympic challenge for Round Oak School
Pupils at Round Oak Special School in Leamington Spa are next week being challenged to think through just what athletes will be requiring for the 2012 Olympics.
On Thursday, March 5th, the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership will be holding an Enterprise Day Olympic Challenge.
The teams will be quizzed on their sporting knowledge and then asked to design and build a model for a training facility for athletes coming to the Olympics in 2012.
The students will be showing the Olympic and Paralympic values of friendship, equality, respect, courage, determination, excellence and inspiration as they compete to design the best venue.
Business representatives will be on hand to help the students manage their time effectively, stick to deadlines, manage a budget and present their ideas and plans to an audience.
The Education Business Partnership, a part of Warwickshire County Council, organises events around Warwickshire to try and ensure young people are better prepared for the world of work.
