Firefighters aim to raise money at charity show
Local residents are being asked to enjoy a night of comedy and fun on Friday 6 March, to help raise money for charity.
The event, the ‘Firefighters Charity Show’, is being run by firefighters to raise money for the firefighters charity, (previously the Benevolent Fund).
The show will run from 8.30pm to 11.30pm on Friday 6 March 2009 at the Greig Hall, Alcester. The evening will consist of candle lit tables with full waiter service. There will be a live performance by Vocal duo ‘Man Maid’ and comedy by Russ Ward, firefighter and Brian Whitehouse, an ex-firefighter.
Tickets for the evening are £10 per person and that includes a fish and chip supper with waiter service by firefighters.
Retained Firefighter, John Smyth said: “The Fire Fighters Charity has helped a number of firefighters in Warwickshire providing essential support services in their time of need. We hope that by running an event like this we can raise some money for the charity in a really fun way.
"The tickets are £10 per person and that includes a candle lit dinner with a live vocal performance and a raffle, which has some great prizes! The evening should be great fun and we hope that we can sell all of the tickets to the event.”
Tickets are available from the Greig Hall. Telephone 01789 400 073 or 07828 049 152
