Give a big hand to Warwickshire’s big band

The Warwickshire Youth Jazz Orchestra will be bringing their unique blend of jazz, funk and Latin-American music to the LMRCA club in Rugby later this month.

Warwickshire’s young musicians will be performing a lively mixture of classic big band tunes and some new music.  In addition to the whole orchestra offerings, additional entertainment will be provided by former orchestra member and vocalist Sarah Robertson, and the band’s very own jazz combo ‘The Clive Darcy Sextet’.

Michael Williamson, County Performance Groups Manger said: “The Youth Jazz Orchestra is an accomplished County Music Service group with a developed style and unique sound which will guarantee a treat for the audience.

“The event on Sunday follows a superb cabaret performance with the County Youth Wind Band in Stratford earlier this month and I am sure this performance will be equally well-received.”

Tickets for the 7.30pm performance cost £5 (£3 concessions) and are available on the door.
