Students are set the challenge of creating a ‘Greener’ tourism destination
Year 10 pupils at a Leamington school are being challenged by Warwickshire County Council’s Education Business Partnership to make ‘Shakespeare County’ a greener destination.
Tourism company South Warwickshire Tourism are joining students at Trinity Catholic School for the Real Context Challenge at Royal Spa Centre on 24th March 2009.
Throughout the day teams will work on the challenge to develop a range of green measures that accommodation and attraction businesses could adopt to make their businesses greener and more environmentally friendly.
At the end of the day teams will present their ideas to a panel of judges and winners will be selected. Winning teams will then work with South Warwickshire Tourism to develop their ideas and introduce them to the organisations membership base.
Representatives from South Warwickshire Tourism and other local businesses will attend the event to help the students keep on track with their ideas and presentations.
