Queen Elizabeth pupils’ enterprising day
Business professionals are making themselves available to chat to pupils at Atherstone’s Queen Elizabeth School as part of an Enterprise Challenge Day.
On Thursday, 2nd April, 22 students will be enjoying themselves taking part in the Enterprise Challenge Day co-ordinated by the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, a part of Warwickshire County Council.
The event is an activity put together for students who are undertaking the ASDAN COPE scheme of learning, which is a specialist programme aimed at raising student attainment.
Part of the programme’s requirements is for enterprise capability to be enhanced through an event such as this. The students will be going through the process of setting up their own businesses with help from business representatives who have kindly offered to give advice and guidance to the young people.
Michaela Griffin from the Warwickshire Education Business Partnership says “This is an ideal opportunity for the students to gain an introduction to the world of business in a structured environment whilst raising confidence overall.”
Warwickshire Education Business Partnership works with many local schools to try and ensure pupils are better prepared for the world of work.
